I SEE YOU AND I’VE BEEN THERE.
I started seeing a therapist after a brutal break-up that left me feeling confused, abandoned, and honestly- just really, really sad. I was miserable, longing to go back to a previous version of my life that felt safer, more complete, easier. I was at a dead-end job and had no prospects of any sort of career that felt satisfying. I had no money and a bum knee from a sport that made up the greater portion of my identity that I no longer played. I was lost and alone.
THERAPY WOKE ME UP- AND IT CAN FOR YOU TOO.
In hindsight, it’s easy to see that that my break-up was a massive wake-up call. I believe that there are moments in life that change your trajectory. They disrupt you in such a way that it feels like there is nothing else to do but to try something new and scary. It’s moments like those that brings us to websites like this.
I STARTED TO FEEL WHOLE AGAIN.
Over time, I began to feel different. I developed all this immense knowledge about myself and began to see the positive effects of the empowerment I began to embody. I started taking up more space in the world, attracting authentic friendships with people I now consider family, and started to have actual goals for what I wanted my life to look like. Even better, I started setting some badass boundaries, said no when I meant no, and yes when I meant yes. I learned to listen to my intuition and began to cultivate a life I felt proud of.
